… and they’re pretty close to the preliminary figures they announced earlier. Their GAAP net income came to $7.8 million, the same as Q3 last year, despite a slightly lower gross profit margin. Xyratex reported today that it expects revenue for its fiscal 2009 third quarter ended August 31, 2009 to be approximately $247 million. Their CEO is pretty pleased with this figure:

Where Winchester Systems was the first company I noticed that included 2 TB SATA drives in their storage systems, Xyratex announced today that they are offering Hitachi’s 7.200 rpm 2 TB drives. These should offer about the same performance as the 1 TB drives most vendors are offering, while providing twice the density.
